The Lodge

Lodging at the Port Orford Field Station is available for use by OSU affiliates and non-OSU researchers, students, local, state, and federal government agencies, NGO's, and other visitor's to the Southern Oregon Coast completing work in alignment with our mission. We can house up to 10 people at a time for short-term stays (less than 2 weeks) and long-term stays (more than 2 weeks). The Lodge has three shared bedrooms and three bathrooms, a kitchen, washer & dryer, and lounge space. Our bedrooms are configured with two, four, and four beds respectively and each room has access to its own full bathroom. All beds are twin XL and linens, pillows, blankets, and towels are provided.

For short-term stays, please submit a request with at least 1 weeks notice. For long-term stays, please submit a request at least one month prior to your stay. Please note that from June-August we tend to be fully booked for summer internship programming.

Common Areas

The Field Station has a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, and lounge area that is shared between users staying at the lodge. Users also have access to a washer and dryer located in the upstairs bathroom.

Robustus Bedroom

The Robustus bedroom is located upstairs in the lodge and is set-up for two people to stay in. Users have access to a bathroom across the hallway, which is also the shared laundry room. 

Purpuratus Bedroom

The Purpuratus bedroom is located upstairs in the lodge and is set-up for four people to stay in. Users have access to a bathroom adjacent to the bedroom.

Sebastes Bedroom

The Sebastes bedroom is located downstairs in the lodge and is set-up for four people to stay in. Users have access to a bathroom adjacent to the bedroom.
